- When taxpayers revolted, Karla Miller used even MORE taxpayer money to hire a law firm to fight the public and the County Commissioners who questioned the project.
- Karla failed to keep landowners and even Big Rapids Township informed on what they owe. Taxpayers, many of whom were elderly and have lived there for decades, were blindsided with massive bills into the tens of thousands of dollars.
